The MetaMask usage guide assumes that you have completed the installation.
MetaMask is used on any network that complies with the ERC-20 protocol of the Ethereum network.
When MetaMask is installed in browsers like Chrome or Firefox, the fox icon will appear in the upper right corner on the browser as below. This means the installation is completed.
If the extension program is installed, the page automatically appears at the top. Or you can also click the extension icon. You need to set up your account(address) by clicking the ‘Get Started’ button.
When it starts, there are two tabs. If you have an existing account, click the ‘Import Wallet’ button and link the existing wallet by using your seed phrase. Otherwise click the ‘Create New Wallet’ button on the right. For now, we will proceed with the creation of a new wallet in mind.
The next page is about collecting data about browser usage for program development. If you are uncomfortable with it, just click Decline and proceed further.
First you need to create a password which prevents unauthorized access to your personal wallet in the installed browser. Enter a password of at least 8 characters and proceed to the next step.
